Take It Easy On Your Joints.

Lift Lighter Loads

Heavy load training has been an effective way to increase strength for a long time.

However, it's not always the best method for everyone. Certain populations, such as older individuals, post-operative patients, or those rehabilitating an injury, may not be able to tolerate high-load exercises without risk of injury.

Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFRT) is a way to build your strength without the heavy lifting by briefly restricting blood flow to the working extremities.

How Blood flow restriction Works

To do this, a tourniquet, similar to a blood pressure cuff, is placed around the limb. The cuff is inflated to a specific pressure, allowing blood to flow into the limb but restricting flow out of the limb. This restriction of blood causes metabolites to accumulate, tricking the body into thinking a heavy load is being used while sparing the joints.

Whether used for rehabilitation, fitness, performance training, or recovery, BFRT is a safe, effective, and portable solution for people of all ability levels and goals. People love it because of its ability to increase muscle strength, size, and functional aerobic capacity in shorter amounts of time with less stress on the body than typical training.
