For those seeking relief through effective yet noninvasive treatments, laser therapy, famously known as red light therapy, is your friend and possibly the key to a revitalized version of you living a pain-free life. Because laser therapy is so noninvasive and painless, our patients love it. At the end of the day, it's an ideal treatment that works to deliver fast results while you get to remain completely comfortable.

the different levels of laser therapy

On a cellular level, a low-level laser is used to target specific red and near-infrared wavelengths in our cells, mainly interacting with the mitochondria. This generates enough energy to increase metabolic activity, nutrient exchanges, and the production of ATP, all of which induce the therapeutic effect that red light therapy is famous for: the reduction of pain and inflammation.

On a physical level, lasers are used to increase circulation and draw water, oxygen, and other nutrients to the injured area, creating an optimal healing environment. This also accelerates the healing process so patients enjoy fast results that reduce stiffness, inflammation, swelling, spasms, and of course, pain.

laser therapy Expectations

While most conditions are only treated two to three times per week, acute injuries require four to six sessions per week, with chronic injuries requiring six to twelve sessions per week.

Laser therapy is highly researched and extremely effective, not to mention easy on our bodies. Most laser therapy sessions at Motus take less than 10 minutes out of your day, and more often than not, you'll be walking out of our clinic with immediate pain relief and noticeably fewer symptoms.
